Pennsylvania Amish Fall Color Tour

Fall is in the air, my favorite time of year. The turning leaves , pumpkin patches & all the colors of Fall. Orange, Red, Yellow, Brown, Green & Purple. We would love for you to come share this with us.
Day 1. Today will be our travel day with stops along the way.
Our home for 3 nights will be the Amish View Inn & Suites. Surrounded by Amish Farms, the Inn provides an intimate atmosphere of a bed & breakfast with the amenities of an upscale hotel.

We will start each morning with a breakfast that includes made to order eggs & omelets , made to order waffles. baked oatmeal , bacon & sausage, country potatoes, oatmeal & cold cereals , fresh fruit, bread & muffins, juices, hot & cold beverages & more. (The best breakfast that I have ever had.

When we arrive Plain & Fancy Restaurant on the Amish View property will welcome us with a dinner of smoked pulled pork with house made sauce, golden fried chicken breasts, cole slaw, corn muffin, baked beans, apple crisp and beverages.

Day 2. Starts with a grand breakfast. Our local guide will join us for the day. The agenda for today will be a Lititz, PA. The town is a stunning cultural melting pot of historic country charm & sophisticated urban flair. The majority of homes & buildings that stand in the town date back to the 1756 era & have stunningly historically restored.

Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery is the first commercial bakery in America. Founded in 1861 is still maintained by the Sturgis Family. During the tour you will get a hands- on lesson in pretzel twisting & receive a small sample bag of pretzels baked by America's original pretzel -baking family.

Wilbur Chocolate where you can watch candy makers create delicious fudge featuring a variety of flavors.

Lunch on your own at the Brickerville House Farm Restaurant housed in an exquisite landmark building establishes in the 1700's. You will find traditional items such as hogmaw, pork and sauerkraut & oyster pie as well as a variety of sandwiches burgers, salads & seafood.

Chalk Talk at Elva's Studio.Enjoy a presentation reviving the old art of chalk talk. You have to see it to believe it.

This afternoon you will have a chance to relax back at the Amish View before dinner at the Hometown Kitchen Family Style Dinner. Enjoy a truly unique dining experience in the Carriage Room. You will be seated at tables with buggy seats
& the room is filled with antique carriage carriage decor. You will be served a delicious homemade PA Dutch family style meal including homemade dinner rolls. butter homemade strawberry jelly, tossed salad, turkey breast and gravy, beef pot roast, mashed potatoes with gravy, buttered noodles, peas & carrots, choice of dessert and non -alcoholic beverage.

Day 3. we meet our guide to venture out onto "Roads Less Traveled" through the heart of Amish Farmlands. Meander county roads where time seems to stand still. See the pristine Amish farms, one room school houses, windwheels and farmers working the fields with their horse or mule- drawn plows.

Visit Leola Coach Shop where an Amish man has been building Amish buggies for over 30 years. During the tour you will hear about Amish Buggies & get a close-up inside view of them.

Amish Quilt & Craft Shop. Right on an Amish Farm you will have an opportunity to meet the Amish in person as you browse through a colorful array of exquisite quilts & unique country crafts.

Lunch on your own at the Kitchen Kettle Village . Stroll thru the 42 shops & restaurants .

Return to the Inn to relax & freshen up before we depart for Jesus at the Sight & Sound Theatre to experience the greatest rescue story of all time. Jesus is an action packed musical stage adventure that takes you on a miraculous journey along the most famous person to ever walk the earth, & the everyday people whose life he changed forever.

Tonight an In-Home Amish Dinner. Prepare for a unique & truly memorable experience as you are welcomed into a real Amish home as their guest for an authentic Amish meal. Enjoy their kind & gracious hospitality as the family serves you a delicious Penn Dutch feast. Day 4. Our final Amish breakfast before we depart for home.
